Arburg Sets New Standard in Injection Molding at K 2025.

At K 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics industry, Arburg delivered a standout performance that confirmed its position as a global leader in injection moulding technology.
With its new communication concept “All in! arburgSOLUTIONworld” and the arburgGREENworld pavilion, the company showcased a complete world of solutions – focused on sustainability, digitalisation, and efficiency.

World Premiere: The Electric Allrounder Trend

The new Allrounder Trend made its world debut and quickly became the highlight of K 2025.
This electric standard injection moulding machine is designed for manufacturers who need high performance with low energy consumption and shorter delivery times.

Key features include:

  • Quick setup and easy operation with the new GESTICA lite control system.

  • Energy-efficient design for standard part production.

  • Delivery within four weeks ex-works and attractive pricing.

  • Available from 500 to 2,000 kN clamping force and injection units from 100 to 800.

At the Arburg booth, visitors saw two live production cells:

  • An Allrounder 1000 e Trend manufacturing free-fall connectors for the electronics sector.

  • An Allrounder 1800 e Trend producing 64 LSR seals, handled by a Multilift Select robot.

These demonstrations underscored Arburg’s focus on automation, speed, and precision in standardized injection molding.

High-End Injection Moulding and Automation Solutions

Beyond the new Trend series, Arburg highlighted several advanced manufacturing applications developed in collaboration with leading partners:

  • NextGen Medical Cell:
An Allrounder 570 A, jointly developed with Sanofi, Hack, and HB-Therm, showing how machine–mould communication reduces cost and energy use.

  • Cleanroom Medical Technology:
An Allrounder 520 A produced centrifuge tubes and functional IML components with Beck and Kebo.

  • Thin-Wall Packaging:
An Allrounder 720 A demonstrated injection-compression moulding for IML cups, cutting clamping force and power consumption.

  • Mobility and Electronics:
A vertical Allrounder 475 V, another world premiere, used in-mould decoration (IMD) to produce wireless key housings with premium surfaces.

  • Multi-Component Production:
An Allrounder More 1800 produced two-colour domino tiles using a Polarform mould and Hasko hot-runner system, with a cobot assisting a Multilift V robot.

  • Cube Technology:
Together with Foboha, an Allrounder Cube 2000 produced two-colour closures, using a suspended six-axis robot for cycle-neutral removal.

These turnkey solutions illustrated Arburg’s integrated approach – combining machines, robotics, and digital tools to deliver smarter, more sustainable injection moulding systems.

Sustainability in Focus: arburgGREENworld Pavilion

At the arburgGREENworld pavilion, visitors immersed themselves in the future of sustainable plastics processing.
The exhibit showcased the full circular economy, from recycling to reuse — including a live demonstration where an Allrounder 1000 e Trend transformed discarded fishing nets into model dolphins, which were then laser-engraved for visitors.

The pavilion also hosted expert presentations from industry and academia on:

  • Recyclate processing and bio-based materials.

  • CO₂-neutral production using biochar compounds.

  • New approaches to energy efficiency and e-fuels.

Dr Christoph Schumacher, Arburg’s Head of Global Marketing, summarised:

“The topic of sustainability has truly come of age. At K 2025, it was clear that the circular economy is now an integral part of the plastics industry.”
